Frequently Asked Questions

MTA does not work in-network with any insurance, but can work with all out-of-network coverage. For more information check out our rates or contact us directly with your question.

This simply means remote health care rather than in person. MTA uses a private and secure video platform for all sessions.

This depends on everyone individually. Therapy is a space that you chose to enter in order to change and no one else (including your therapist) can change for you. Most clients report noticing some change within the first few sessions. A large portion of clients at MTA are seeking change around multiple areas of their life (trauma, relationships, body, etc.) which can result in being in therapy for longer periods.

The frequency of appointments will be determined between you and your therapist at your first appointment. How often you have therapy influences the speed of change- similar to training for a sport or performance, how much you practice impacts how well you play. In order to build connection with your therapist and see change quickly MTA recommends starting with weekly appointments.
